Brazilian forward desperate for Neymar to join him at Newcastle United

Joelinton is hoping he can persuade Paris Saint Germain's Neymar to move to the North East and said the number 10 jersey is waiting for him.

Neymar is expected to be on the move after reportedly being told he is no longer needed at PSG.
The French club signed the Brazil international back in 2017 for a world record fee of £190million.

While Neymar has been prolific in Ligue 1, he has not done what they wanted him to do - and that was to win the Champions League.

They were finalists in 2019/20 and reached the semi-finals in 2020/21 although they tasted elimination to Real Madrid this season.

Newcastle star Joelinton has said he will get Bruno Guimaraes - who joined the Magpies in January - to turn from a player to agent in hope of securing a sensational move.

Joelinton told the Cast FC podcast: "We can get him a spot. If he comes it will be…I can't explain it.
"The man is an idol, huge in world football, so the invitation is done.
"Ney, if you are listening to this, you can come!"
Joelinton, 25, even went as far as to offer Neymar Allan Saint-Maximin's shirt number.
He added: "The 10 shirt is waiting for him.
"I'll send a message to Bruno. Bruno has his contact. He can send a message inviting Ney to play there."

Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in signing Neymar but have been put off by the wages.

The ex-Barca star is believed to be earning an eye-watering £490,000 although it is not likely to put Newcastle off.
The club is owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund and this summer, they have already spent £57million.
