One of the big stories this transfer window will concern the future of Jack Grealish as the out-of-favour Man City man ponders his next move.

There were a lot of people who raised their eyebrows when City splashed £100m on the signing of Grealish from Aston Villa.

It was a big money risk, but it was one which appeared to be paying off at first. Grealish made 54 Premier League appearances across his first two seasons, with 45 of them being starts. He also came up with 18 goal contributions as City claimed back-to-back titles.

Things changed during the 2023/24 season when Grealish only made 10 Premier League starts and played half the minutes he did in the season prior.

Those numbers dwindled even further this season, with the England international going on to make just seven starts in the competition – scoring one goal along the way.

Manager Pep Guardiola has showed his frustration on a number of occasions when quizzed about the player during press conferences, leading to further speculation about the 29-year-old’s future.

Grealish is now highly likely to leave City this summer, especially after being left out of their FIFA Club World Cup squad and losing his place in the England camp.

However, with Grealish commanding a big wage, who will take a chance on the Man City man?

Here, we take a closer look at his possible transfer destinations.

    Jack Grealish next club

(Odds are correct as of article's last update)

    Tottenham - 2/1

Seven Premier League starts, one goal, one assist – Grealish already sounds like a Tottenham player.

While most Spurs fans thought the jokes would stop after winning a trophy, we simply can’t ignore the fact they finished the season in 17th, with 22 defeats to their name.

Tottenham need to make some drastic changes to avoid another wet season and signing Grealish could be one of their options.

At 8/1, before Thomas Frank was appointed the new boss at Spurs, now as short as 2/1 with a move to North London getting closer by the day, according to media reports.

    Napoli - 3/1

Grealish could follow in the footsteps of Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour by packing his bags and moving to Naples.

Napoli have just won the Serie A after a thrilling title battle with Inter Milan, meaning things are about to get busier for the club who will add Champions League football to their menu next season.

Manager Antonio Conte will want to strengthen his squad ahead of the extra workload and Grealish could become one of his summer signings. The Italian is said to be a fan of the 29-year-old, despite his dip in performances.

Away from football, Naples does sound a lot more attractive than Manchester. The constant sunshine and occasional smoke with McTominay makes for a decent outlook.

They were hot favourites but their odds have dropped from 8/5 to 8/1, before clambering back to 3/1.

    West Ham - 5/1

The Irons have rocketed up this market to 5/1 in the last week with reports linking him to the club.

West Ham have one of the slowest midfields around and struggled to fill the left attacking side of the pitch with Crysencio Summerville injured for most of the season.

A loan is the most likely option, although West Ham might not have the cash for a loan fee or the wages.

Graham Potter needs to start selling wantaway players like Mohammed Kudus to free up some money.

    Everton - 8/1

David Moyes' side raced into the lead (7/4) for Grealish's signature at the start of June as the race began to hot up.

New owners The Friedkin Group want to make a big splash in their new stadium and a season-long loan move for Grealish looks like an appealing option.

However, following reports that wage could be a big stumbling block and Tottenham's increased interest has seen Everton's odds fall to 8/1.

    Fenerbahce - 10/1

Turkey is the kind of place Grealish would go on a holiday, but for his playing career? Hmmm.

A loan move to Fenerbahce is the most likely, but the lack of spotlight on the Super Lig plus a very demanding crowd won't put this move at the top of Grealish's list.

    Newcastle - 12/1

Newcastle have risen through this market in the last week or so.

The Magpies are getting ready for a Champions League return next season and they will certainly need more personnel of the highest calibre.

Grealish might not be in great form, but a new club and a new environment may potentially kick him back into gear.

    Aston Villa - 12/1

After a season of shoulder rubbing with some of the biggest clubs in Europe, Aston Villa will have to make do with the Europa League next term.

Balancing continental action with the Premier League proved difficult at certain stages of the season. That will only get harder as the Villans prepare for the drag that are Thursday nights.

Bringing Grealish back would make for a nice nostalgic move, but whether he would actually aid their cause is a different matter.

Stay at Man City - 12/1

Moving Grealish on to another club may prove easier said than done. The Englishman reportedly earns £300,000 per week which is not a sum that many clubs would be prepared to throw at a player in decline.

The former Villa man only made seven Premier League starts this season, playing a total of 721 minutes – that’s almost three times less than his total number of minutes during the 2022/23 season.

Grealish has a contract until 2027, meaning he is in no rush to find another employer. Trouble is, he may be forced to make a move if he is to rediscover his best form.

    Bayer Leverkusen - 16/1

New German side have entered the race with Florian Wirtz off to Liverpool.

New boss Erik Ten Hag needs a winger and has some cash sploshing about, might be a better option than Antony.

    AC Milan - 20/1

Similarly to Inter, their city rivals AC Milan are also keeping close tabs on the Englishman.

Moving to a different country and taking on a different challenge might do Grealish some good as he looks to resurrect his career.

Former Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri returned to AC Milan at the end of May, and it seems unlikely that he'll be interested in Grealish

    Inter Milan - 20/1

Grealish was strongly linked with Inter back in January, though a move never materialised.

While Inter missed out on the Serie A title this season by the narrowest of margins, their season is far from over as they prepare to take on PSG in the Champions League final.

The Italian club are understood to be keeping an eye on Grealish, with the European finalists pondering over a potential move for the player.

Another club with a new manager in Cristian Chivu, will see Grealish's odds fluctuate.

    Nottingham Forest - 25/1

Nottingham Forest exceeded all imaginable expectations this season by finishing seventh and securing European football for the first time since the 1990s.

Nuno Espirito Santo will need to strengthen if he is to balance domestic and continental duties with some level of success. With that in mind, the club may look to target unwanted players such as Grealish.

The Tricky Trees have registered their interest in the 29-year-old according to reports. The only real question is whether they have the sufficient financial power to make the deal work, and at 25/1 it would seem not.

    Bayern Munich - 33/1

Lastly, one of the clubs that sticks out on the list is Bayern Munich. Ex Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has recently called on the player to make the move to Bavaria and rediscover his ‘free spirit’.

During his days at Aston Villa, Grealish was pretty much given a free role to do what he liked. That is certainly not the case with Man City with Guardiola being a stickler for sticking to his plan.

Considering the Bundesliga is a lot less competative than the Premier League, it could offer Grealish the chance to express himself a little more.
