Ipswich v Arsenal: Predictions, tips and bet builder as Gunners suffer Champions League hangover

Bukayo Saka
Arsenal swap Madrid for Ipswich as the two sides meet on Easter Sunday. Can we find you a juicy winning bet builder that help you buy one of those expensive chocolate eggs from Waitrose?
Arsenal still have a squeak of a chance of winning the Premier League, as Liverpool haven’t mathematically won the title. Oh come on maths, give it a rest will you.
Have you ever been in a room with a bunch of mathematicians, oh they just won’t give stuff up and they suck all the fun out of everything.
Face it, the Premier League title is already in a vault near Anfield, they’ve even put the ribbons on and haven’t sent the engraver the letters A, S or N.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has to pretend there’s still a chance, but what he should be doing now is wrapping his best players in cotton wool until the Champions League semi-finals. I’d even put an extra layer of bubble wrap around Bukayo Saka.
There's two league games before the first PSG match, and the last thing Arteta and his battle-worn Arsenal side want is more knocks and injuries.
Those maths nerds are doing their thing with Ipswich too. The Tractor Boys aren’t officially relegated but they are now 14 points off West Ham in 17th. The Irons have been pretty useless for most of the season, but even they can’t balls that up.
Here we pick out some of our best tips for Ipswich’s clash with Arsenal at Portman Road on Easter Sunday, and if you put it into a Betway five-legged bet builder you'll get odds of around 52/1.

Double chance - Ipswich win or draw
There’s no value in backing Arsenal in a match they should comfortably win, but everyone expected the Gunners to turn over Brentford last weekend too.
The 2-1 midweek win over Real Madrid was fantastic but it must have sapped the physical and mental energy out of the Arsenal squad.
With Arteta probably in a rotation mood, Ipswich can throw out a few punches in the last chance saloon, they certainly surprised Chelsea in their previous outing.
A straight win for the Tractor Boys might be a stretch, especially as they haven’t won at home in six, but they might catch a tired Arsenal on the hop. Making the bet a double chance gives you a bit of security.
Both teams to score
Clean sheets and Ipswich haven’t been a thing in the league since the end of December 2024, when they beat Chelsea 2-0.
They achieved another one in the FA Cup against League One Bristol Rovers a couple of weeks later, but they’ve dried up since then and they’ve conceded in their last 12 league games..
Fortunately, they have shown plenty of attacking intent and have scored in 11 of the last 12 across all competitions.
Arsenal don’t let in many, but have conceded in their last three league games and could be breached if Ipswich start on the front foot.
Under 3.5 goals
Arsenal’s last six Premier League games on the road have served up two goals or fewer, and the Gunners have not conceded two or more in their last ten games.
Despite their lowly position, Ipswich haven’t had loads of good kickings this season, Man City put six past them and they’ve been on the end of a few fours. But not many have made you cry, ‘please make it stop’.
In Ipswich’s last six games across all competitions, only Forest have put more than two past them.
Arsenal only managed a 1-0 win over Ipswich back in December.
Liam Delap two or more shots on target
Everyone is having a good sniff of Liam Delap for a possible summer transfer. He once was a mid-table team target, now the so-called big guns are interested so his price is going to rocket.
He’s already got 12 Premier League goals this season, which is impressive in a side set for a return to the Championship. Arsenal’s top scorer is Kai Havertz with nine, to prove my point.
Delap has had a shot on target in his last five Premier League games, and we are going to push the boat out a little by backing him to have at least two against a tired Arsenal defence, in a market that has been boosted by Betway.
Liam Delap two or more fouls
Delap also isn’t afraid of bashing up against rival defences. He and Bournemouth’s Antonie Semenyo have committed the most fouls in the Premier League this season with 63 each. The ‘striker’s tackle’ is not an urban myth.
He’s been on good behaviour for the last two games with no fouls, although he was recovering from a rib injury against Chelsea and was only used as a sub.
In January and February he committed at least one or more foul in eight consecutive games, that included six against Liverpool, four against Tottenham and three against Aston Villa.
