Man City close out the season against one of their favourite opponents on Sunday as they look to secure Champions League qualification at Craven Cottage (1600 BST).

Realistically speaking, a point should be enough for the Citizens to secure top-flight European football for the 15th consecutive season.

Pep Guardiola’s men could not have handpicked a better opponent to finish the job, considering City boast a historic winning record over the Cottagers.

With 17 straight wins across all competitions, City currently have the longest winning streak over a single opponent in English football history. To add further salt into the wound, Fulham have conceded 52 goals during that run.

In the midst of all this negativity, there is a glimmer of hope for Marco Silva and his plucky side.

Firstly, Fulham showed a lot of guts last weekend as they came back from 2-1 down to seal a big London derby win over Brentford.

Secondly, Man City are far from firing on all cylinders. Dare we say, they are there for the taking. If there was ever a good time for Fulham to end this horrendous head-to-head record, it’s this Sunday.

Guardiola’s side picked up a 3-1 win over Bournemouth last time out, but that was Etihad. Their record on the road is far from convincing, with City winning just three away Premier League games since the start of 2025.

Fulham, who have just broken their all-time Premier League points tally, will look at those numbers and take a lot of confidence into the weekend.

This City side is not the indomitable monster they have faced in the past. In fact, they’re more like a wounded animal in the middle of a ferocious jungle.

Fulham’s last win over Man City came all the way back in 2009 when Roy Hodgson was still roaming the Craven Cottage dugout.

It’s the final round of games meaning it’s time to go big or go home. With that in mind, we’re putting our faith in Fulham to get the job done and finally end their 17-match losing streak

An impressive result for the Cottagers last weekend coupled with City’s dodgy form away from home will give the hosts some hope.

Four of Fulham’s previous five outings in the Premier League have seen both teams find the back of the net and we’re sticking with that trend.

While we are favouring Fulham, it’s Man City who are expected to go on the front foot. With that in mind, we are backing the visitors to have four or more shots on target.

Lastly, we’re siding with Fulham’s Raul Jimenez to score or assist. The Mexican forward has scored on his last two appearances and we’re backing the 34-year-old to have another involvement on Sunday.
