Everton and West Ham stopped in race to sign Union Berlin striker Sheraldo Becker

Union Berlin have pulled the rug from under Everton and West Ham in their pursuit for forward Sheraldo Becker.

Union Berlin were reportedly entertaining an offer from Everton for Becker, who has scored eight goals and seven assists this season.

West Ham also joined the race as they looked to bolster their attacking options following injuries to Gianluca Scamacca and new signing Danny Ings.

But Union Berlin have decided they do not wish to sell any more players as they continue to challenge for the Bundesliga title.

The Suriname international who is valued at 15million Euros, recently denied links with Nottingham Forest but is still keen to play in the English top flight.

The German side are on the verge of signing Isco on free transfer once he has completed his medical with the club.
