Gareth Southgate will be a happy manager after seeing England back up their win over Italy with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Ukraine - here Planet Sport rates the players for their performances.

JORDAN PICKFORD: Did not face a single shot on target, which must prove something of a novelty for the Everton goalkeeper. 6. (out of 10)

KYLE WALKER: Pushed forward at every opportunity and easily coped with Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk. 6.

JOHN STONES: Never put a foot wrong and hardly challenged on a straightforward evening. 6.

HARRY MAGUIRE: Said it would be a failure if England did not win the Euros next summer but they will face much sterner tests en route to potential glory. 6.

BEN CHILWELL: In for the suspended Luke Shaw and was a threat down the left flank. 6.

DECLAN RICE: A comparative walk in the park compared to coming up against Italy's midfield three on Thursday night. 6.

JORDAN HENDERSON: Calm and composed in midfield and continues to play his part. 6.

JUDE BELLINGHAM: Another assured performance on a fairly comfortable afternoon for the 19-year-old. 8.

BUKAYO SAKA: An assist and a fine goal within three first-half minutes again proves he is one of England's players of the moment. 9.

JAMES MADDISON: Made his full England debut over three years since his first appearance and looked perfectly at home without ever shining. 6.

HARRY KANE: Continued his record-breaking England run by opening the scoring with his 55th goal for his country. 7.

    SUBSTITUTES:

IVAN TONEY (for Kane, 81): Given nine minutes on his England debut but the Brentford striker did not get a sniff of goal. 5.

JACK GREALISH (for Maddison, 85): A late cameo for the £100million man who saw a stoppage-time strike turned around the post. 6.

CONOR GALLAGHER (for Bellingham, 85): Forced a late save out of Anatoly Trubin in a rare moment of excitement in a stale second half. 6.
