    Atletico Madrid's coach, Diego Simeone, has turned down a tempting proposition from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, affirming his dedication to the Spanish club.

    Diego Simeone, the 53-year-old coach, has once again demonstrated his unwavering loyalty to Atletico Madrid by reportedly rejecting an enticing offer from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, according to transfer specialist Pedro Almeida.

    Simeone, who has been with the Rojiblancos since 2011, recently extended his contract until 2024, signifying his commitment to the La Liga club.

    Various media reports indicate that this is not the first time the Saudi club have pursued Simeone's services, as they had previously made a generous offer to the Argentinian manager in May. However, Simeone remains resolute in his decision to continue leading Atletico Madrid into the 2023/24 season.

    Atletico, aiming to regain their title-contending form next season, undoubtedly benefit from Simeone's continued guidance. Football Espana reports that the club have also expressed their intention to offer the esteemed coach a new contract, acknowledging his status as their most successful manager.
    During the current campaign, Simeone has faced challenges as his team struggled in various competitions. Colchoneros exited the Champions League in the group stage and currently sit in fifth place in La Liga. Nevertheless, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, Atletico's chief, has reassured Simeone of the board's confidence in him, recognizing his significant contributions to the club's history.
    As the summer transfer window approaches, Atletico plan to make minor adjustments to their playing squad before initiating negotiations for a contract extension with Simeone. The proposed contract is expected to be for one or two years, with the possibility of an additional year.
    With Simeone's unwavering dedication and Atletico's renewed commitment, the club are poised to make a strong comeback in the upcoming season.
