  • David Raya Agrees To Deal With Tottenham As Alternative Goalkeeping Target Emerges

David Raya agrees to deal with Tottenham as alternative goalkeeping target emerges

Tottenham Hotspur continue to pursue a deal for Brentford keeper David Raya, but a new option has emerged, according to reports.

Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in a deal to bring David Raya to North London.
The Spanish keeper made 38 appearances for Brentford last season and kept a clean sheet in 32% of those appearances.
His quality when playing out from the back and his shot-stopping ability make him an attractive option for top clubs.
According to reports, he remains Spurs' number one target between the sticks but Brentford's asking price is considered too high.
Personal terms have already been agreed between the club and the player but the Bees are demanding as much as £40 million for the stopper.

In the event a deal isn't possible, Spurs have been exploring other options.

Fabrizio Romano has shared that Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is an option.
The 22-year-old played 90 minutes for Georgia in a 2-0 loss to Scotland on Tuesday night.
He kept just seven clean sheets in 38 appearances this season as Valencia narrowly avoided relegation from La Liga.
