Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace celebrates his goal to make it 1-0 during the Emirates FA Cup Final match at Wembley Stadium

Crystal Palace will be looking to back up their FA Cup victory by breaking a club record when they welcome Wolverhampton to Selhurst Park this Tuesday night (2000 BST).

The Eagles made history when a 1-0 win over Man City at Wembley secured their first ever major trophy.

Palace fans were on cloud nine as their team edged one of the giants of English football to claim serious silverware for the first time in their 119-year history.

Manager Oliver Glasner arrived at the club with a fierce reputation in cup competitions. While he certainly delivered in that department, his achievements in the Premier League cannot be diminished.

As things stand, Palace have accumulated 49 points in the Premier League – that is their joint-highest points total. With two games still to go this season, Glasner’s men will be expected to set the bar higher.

Trouble is, everything really depends on two questions. Firstly, how hard did the Palace players celebrate their cup win, and secondly, is the motivation still there considering their big season goal has already been achieved?

Having already taken the club to their first ever major trophy, you can forgive the players for wanting to get themselves to a sunnier destination and properly mark the historic moment.

Nevertheless, Palace will feel like their opponents are there for the taking. Wolves come into this game on the back of back-to-back defeats to Man City and Brighton.

Wolves failed to score a single goal during those matches, which is a surprise considering they enjoyed a six-match winning run prior to that first loss.

Despite their recent dip, Vitor Pereira certainly deserves credit for turning things around at Wolves.

At the time of his arrival the club seemed destined for relegation, yet the new manager has managed to work his magic and take the club up to 14th – eight points adrift of 12th placed Palace.

The big question ahead of Tuesday’s fixture is whether Crystal Palace will suffer from an FA Cup hangover.

While the Eagles undoubtedly enjoyed celebrations, you can bet your bottom dollar that the big party will take place once the season is over.

With that in mind, we’re backing Palace to take their wave of momentum into this league fixture – their last home match of the season.

Wolves failed to score across their last two games and only came up with four shots on target during the last 180 minutes. As a result, we’re going against both teams to score at around the 6/5 mark.

In terms of specific player bets, we’re putting our chips on Eberechi Eze. The English midfielder has scored in five consecutive matches – including the match winner in the FA Cup final. We are backing Eze to score or assist on Tuesday night at around 6/4.

The final addition to our acca concerns Wolves keeper Jose Sa. We’re backing the shot stopper to make two or more saves.
