Crystal Palace v Man City: FA Cup final prediction, tips and bet builder as Eagles look to stun Citizens

The Emirates FA Cup trophy
Crystal Palace will be looking to win their first ever major trophy when they take on Manchester City at Wembley stadium in the FA Cup final this Saturday (1630 BST).
There are trophy droughts and then there is Crystal Palace. The club have been in existence for 119 years, yet they are yet to claim a major piece of silverware.
Over the years, Palace have found success in the Championship play-offs, winning the promotion mini-tournament on four separate occasions since 1989. However, when it comes to the big ones, the club are yet to win one.
That could all change this Saturday evening when Palace make the short trip to Wembley for a potentially tasty FA Cup clash with Manchester City.
When it comes to winning trophies, few teams in the world are better than the Citizens. Since Sheikh Mansour took over the club in 2008, City have been on a silverware collecting rampage, winning near enough every competition going.
In the grand scheme of things, winning this season’s FA Cup wouldn’t have a particular major impact on City or Mansour’s legacy. However, considering the disappointing nature of their season, Saturday’s final certainly means a lot to manager Pep Guardiola.
Throughout his legendary managerial career, Guardiola has only ever experienced one season without winning a single trophy. That was his first season in Manchester back in 2016/17.
Winning the cup and finishing in the top five to qualify for next season’s Champions League would mark a positive end to what has been a frustrating campaign.
Guardiola’s men will certainly fancy their chances after thrashing the Eagles 5-2 back in April. The Citizens are also unbeaten in 10 matches across all competitions, winning five of their last six.
Palace are also in decent form, coming into this match on the back of a five-match unbeaten run. What’s more, the Eagles have a history of scoring goals against City – something they’ll hope to replicate on Saturday.
Here we pick out some of our best tips for this juicy FA Cup final meeting, and if you put it into a Betway bet builder you’ll get odds of around 7/1.

Man City most shots on target – 1/3
Eberechi Eze to score or assist – 19/10

(All odds are correct at time of article publication)
Recent encounters between Crystal Palace and Man City have produced a healthy number of goals – 21 in four matches to be precise.
Oliver Glasner’s men certainly have no fear when attacking, scoring eight goals across their last four matches in all competitions.
City’s goal output has been a lot more conservative in recent weeks, but we’re backing the big occasion to bring the best out of Guardiola’s men.
With that in mind, we’re adding both teams to score and over 2.5 goals to our acca.
City have scored four or more goals in three of their last six against Palace and they will be expected to be the dominant side. With that in mind, we’re backing the Manchester outfit to have most shots on target.
In terms of specific player bets, we like the look of Eberechi Eze to score or assist.
The English forward is in stellar form, scoring five goals across his last four matches – including both goals in Palace’s 2-0 win over Tottenham last time out.
Eze has 15 goal contributions in the Premier League this season, and we’re backing the midfielder to have a big impact in Saturday’s FA Cup final.
