Cristiano Ronaldo latest: Odds slashed as favourite emerges to sign ex Man Utd and Real Madrid man

Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be heading for the Al-Nassr exit door as the Portuguese superstar plots his next move.

The 40-year-old is out of contract at the end of the month and recently posted a cryptic message on his X account, saying: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all."

Ronaldo’s spell at Al-Nassr wasn’t as trophy-laden as he would have wished, only winning the Arab Club Champions Cup back in 2023. His next chapter is likely to be away from Al-Nassr as Ronaldo looks to continue his iconic career elsewhere.

Clubs across the globe are showing interest in signing the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star, but one favourite has emerged in recent hours.

Fellow Saudi club Al-Hilal have seen their odds slashed from 4/1 to 5/6, putting them in pole position for Ronaldo’s signature.

While Al-Nassr failed to bag a spot in the upcoming Club World Cup, Al-Hilal are heading to America for the tournament.

Having Ronaldo at the Club World Cup could drive some much-needed interest – especially in Europe where appetite for the competition is minimal.

There are, of course, a number of other clubs in the running to sign the player. Los Angeles FC are currently priced at 5/1, while Brazilian side Botafogo are available at 10/1.
