Conor Gallagher set to become Atletico Madrid's latest signing

According to a report by MARCA, the English international midfielder will join Atletico following a £45 million transfer from Chelsea.

This is the same amount Chelsea will pay to secure Samu Omorodion's services from the Spanish club.

Gallagher arrived in Madrid in the early hours of Thursday morning and is currently undergoing his medical examination.

After completing this process, he is expected to visit the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium to familiarise himself with his new surroundings and sign his contract, which will bind him to Atletico until 2029.

Provided that all procedures proceed smoothly and no unforeseen issues arise, Gallagher could be officially announced by the club soon.

However, this will depend on the completion of all necessary formalities, including the finalisation of his contract and his official unveiling wearing the Atletico jersey.
