President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino stand next to the FIFA Club World Cup trophy
The tournament nobody asked for is on the horizon as 32 clubs from around the globe head to America to compete in FIFA’s revamped Club World Cup.
Just a few short weeks after the regular season came to an end, we have another competition heading our way courtesy of the big cheeses in Zurich.
While the players are on their last legs after a gruelling campaign, their quench for a summer holiday will not be met as they prepare to boost FIFA’s financial margins… because clearly the $6billion the governing body made from the 2022 World Cup just wasn’t enough.
Manchester City head to the United States as defending champions having won the last tournament under the old format.
The Citizens will be joined by the likes of Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Inter Miami and many more.
Here, we take a closer look at everything you need to know ahead of the 2025 edition of the Club World Cup, including the group stage draw, prize money and where to watch.
