Gladbach boss hails 'good player' Niclas Fullkrug amid transfer rumours

Borussia Monchengladbach sporting director Roland Virkus has given his thoughts on Werder Bremen forward Niclas Fullkrug, amid reports linking the player with a move to Borussia-Park.

In an interview with Sky Germany, Virkus stated: "Of course I know Niclas Fullkrug. He's a good player. We once met when I was still youth director at Borussia, but that's the last contact we've had."
When asked about Fullkrug as a potential replacement for Marcus Thuram, whose contract with Gladbach expires in the summer, Virkus added: "There are many players who can help us. We have to look at the overall structure of the squad.
"But there are many guys, who could be interesting for Borussia Monchengladbach."
The Gladbach boss emphasized that while he is aware of Fullkrug's qualities, the club will continue to assess all options to strengthen their squad.
