Dortmund join race for Brighton defender; Spurs not giving up on Rodgers

The search for Tottenham Hotspur's new manager rumbles on, with Brighton's Ben White a man in demand across Europe's elite.

Tottenham still hope for Rodgers appointment

Despite the Leicester City manager ruling himself out of the running to become the next Tottenham manager, the Daily Mail report that Brendan Rodgers is still on Spurs' managerial radar.

They claim that Rodgers already turned down an approach for his services last week, but they have not yet given up hope on bringing the Northern Irishman to the club.

Rodgers says he is happy with his current job, but having been 12/1 to be the next permanent Tottenham boss on Thursday, he has now shortened to 8/1 with Sky Bet. Ajax boss Erik ten Hag remains odds-on favourite at 5/6 however.

Dortmund reportedly join battle for Brighton's White

Brighton & Hove Albion's highly-rated defender Ben White appears to be a wanted man this summer, with The Sun reporting that Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have now registered their interest in the centre-back.

White has starred for Graham Potter's side this season after a successful loan spell in helping Leeds United get promoted to the Championship, and the 23-year-old is also wanted by a host of Europe's biggest clubs.
The Englishman has also played himself into the running to make his England debut in the not-too-distant future, with White being namechecked by Gareth Southgate as a potential member of his squad for the future.

PSG are the current favourites to sign White either on loan or permanently in the summer transfer window, available at 3/1 with Sky Bet. Manchester United are 4/1, Liverpool are 9/1 shots and a price on Dortmund is not yet available.

Coutinho to return to Merseyside?

There are rumours flying around that Barcelona and Brazil's Philippe Coutinho could make the move back to Merseyside this summer - but with Everton, report The Sun.

The 28-year-old had moved to Barca for a record £142m from Everton's arch rivals Liverpool back in 2018, but his career at Camp Nou has not played out as he had perhaps expected.
Carlo Ancelotti's side appear confident of bringing the Brazilian to Goodison Park over the summer in a potential £35m deal that would see him form an attacking midfield partnership with James Rodriguez.
Due to his injury situation meaning he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Everton will be making sure he is fully fit before moving to sign the playmaker.

Sky Bet have placed Everton as even-money favourites to sign Coutinho in the summer transfer window, Arsenal are next-best priced at 12/1 to bring him to the Emirates and a sensational return to Liverpool is available at 14/1.
