Borussia Dortmund vs Monterrey: Free Club World Cup tips, predictions, where to watch and bet builder

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta is the scene for the final round of 16 clash of the 2025 Club World Cup. 

The German side will be the favourites heading into this one, but Monterrey will be hoping to cause another upset after Al-Hilal's shock win over Man City. 

Can the Mexican side spring another surprise on the footballing world or will Borussia Dortmund secure a quarter-final berth.

We're predicting a much tighter affair than the Man City vs Al Hilal clash. 

Dortmund picked up two clean sheets in the group stage as they topped their group with seven points.

However, Monterrey won just one of their three group stage matches so we think that Dortmund will have too much for the Mexican side. 

Under 2.5 goals

As we said earlier, the form books suggest that this one won't be a goal fest. 

Only one of Dortmund's group games yielded over 2.5 goals and that was a 4-3 win over Mamelodi Sundowns. 

It was the same for Monterrey, with the 4-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds the only game that passed the 2.5 goal mark, so we think under 2.5 goals is a worthwhile bet. 

Serhou Guirassy to have 2+ shots on target

Serhou Guirassy has scored just once in the Club World Cup so far, but he still has the quality to cause the opposing defence plenty of problems. 

With creative players like Jobe Bellingham, Julian Brandt and Karim Adeyemi in the German team's squad, Guirassy should get chances to boost his goal tally. 

At least two shots on target for the striker is a bet that offers good value.

Jobe Bellingham made the move to his brother Jude's former club prior to the competition and he got the ball rolling on his Dortmund career with a goal against Mamelodi Sundowns in the group stage. 

He will be looking to write his own chapter at the club and he could help them by progressing far in this tournament. 

Bellingham to score or assist is another bet that offers plenty of value.
