Bodo/Glimt v Tottenham: Prediction, tips and bet builder as Spurs look to survive Arctic Circle test

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou
Tottenham head to the Arctic Circle as they look to finish off Bodo/Glimt in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final (Thurs, 2000 BST).
A nightmare season for Spurs could yet have a happy ending as the club look to secure their spot in the Europa League final.
Ending their 17-year wait for a trophy and bagging a place in next season’s Champions League would undoubtedly make up for their domestic failings this year.
But before Ange Postecoglou’s men get the champagne out, they have a tricky trip to Norway ahead of them.
Despite leading the tie 3-1 on aggregate, Spurs will be wary as they travel to a location which has proved problematic for a whole host of European giants.
In the last few years alone, AS Roma, Celtic, Besiktas, Porto, Olympiacos and Lazio all suffered defeats in the Arctic Circle.
The last English team to make the trip to Bodo were Arsenal who only escaped with a narrow 1-0 victory back in 2022.
While there is no snow forecast for Thursday, Tottenham’s players can still look forward to a chilly and wet affair in the north of Norway – one which could get tasty if the Premier League side don’t keep their guard up.
Bodo’s late goal in the first leg seemed like a consolation at the time, but the fact they are just two goals behind will be encouraging for the hosts.
The Norwegian side have scored two or more goals in six of their seven home Europa League games this season. This includes their 2-0 win over Lazio in the quarter-finals.
There’s clearly still a lot to play for as we head into the second leg, meaning we could be in for a tasty Thursday night encounter.

Bearing in mind their fearsome home record, we’re putting our chips on Bodo/Glimt to win the match. Whether it will be enough to win the tie is a different story.
Bodo have turned their home ground into a fortress in Europe and we expect the home side to get on the scoresheet.
We’re also backing Tottenham to rattle the net and underline their Premier League qualities.
There is simply too much on the line for Spurs to let this game slip through their fingers. With that in mind, we expect a strong performance from a desperate Tottenham side. Consequently, we’re adding a Bodo win and both teams to score to our bet builder.
We’re also going to include Bodo to have 3+ shots on target. With the Norwegian side down on the scoreboard and needing to attack, Spurs should have plenty to do defensively.
In terms of going forward, we expect Richarlison to do his bit. The Brazilian provided an assist in the first leg and this time, we expect him to test the goalkeeper with at least one shot on target.
