Barcelona news: Haaland and Mbappe deals ruled out but interest in Raphinha confirmed

Barcelona president Joan Laporta also appears to confirm deal for Chelsea defender.

Barcelona are unlikely to be in the market to sign either Erling Haaland or Kylian Mbappe this summer, president Joan Laporta has confirmed.

Dortmund star Haaland and PSG ace Mbappe are both expected to be on the move in the window, with every top club in the world desperate to get them.

However, Barcelona appear to have dropped out of the race due to the sheer cost of signing either.

Speaking to Catalan radio station RAC1, Laporta said: "Haaland or Mbappe to Barca?

"The conditions I've been told about these two deals, we'd never accept to spend those figures, no way. I see both of them really far from Barca."

Barcelona are expected to be very active in the summer, though, and Laporta did confirm an interest in Leeds star Raphinha.

"Top players want to join Barca, that's clear," he said.

"Raphinha is a player we really like and it's true that Deco's his agent. We've very good relationships.
"I want to clarify that Deco's not paid by the club. He will just help us because he dominates the Brazilian market.

"We've completed two signings for the next season: one is a midfielder, the other one is a centre-back. But I'm not allowed to mention their names."

Though Laporta refused to name them, it is widely reported the two players Barcelona have already secured for next season are Franck Kessie from AC Milan and Chelsea's Andreas Christensen.

Barcelona have also been linked with Mo SalahRobert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi, but Laporta insists there is nothing to report right now on any of them.

"I can't say if we're in talks for Lewandowski and Salah or not - they'll tell me that I'm creating problems in the negotiations."

"I've received no message from Messi or his agents over a possibility of returning back to Barcelona.
"As of today, we are not going to be raising this issue."
