Arsenal news: Mikel Arteta plans more signings, plus Bukayo Saka offered new deal

Arsenal are the Premier League’s biggest spenders during this summer transfer window, though manager Mikel Arteta believes there’s still more to come.

The Gunners completed their fifth signing of the summer on Friday after announcing their capture of Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Ukraine international became the second player to arrive at the Emirates from the Etihad, following in the footsteps of Gabriel Jesus.
Zinchenko cost the club around £30million and joins other new additions such as Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and goalkeeper Matt Turner.
However, according to Arsenal boss Arteta, the summer business isn't quite done yet.

Speaking to Sky Sports from the Universal Orlando Resort, he said: "We are completing what we planned.

"There are still a few things we'd like to do, ins and outs, and that will be determined by the possibilities that are on the market.
"We know where we're going to end up at the end of this window, and hopefully we can make it work."
The 40-year-old was coy on the future of Nuno Tavares who is said to be closing in on a loan move to Atalanta. He added: "We still have some players that are in contention to stay or go, and if we have news we will communicate it."
One current Arsenal star who could extend his stay at the Emirates is Bukayo Saka.

The England international has been linked with a number of top Premier League clubs - including Manchester City - though according to the Daily Mail, the player has been offered a new deal.

Saka's current contract expires in 2024, though the 20-year-old could almost double his current wages if he signs with the Gunners for another few years.
As things stand, Saka is yet to formally respond to the offer.
