Spurs have won four of the last five League match-ups between the sides, for a staggering 8-2 goal difference in those matches. City won the other game in that five-game streak 3-0, but the stats should warm the cockles of the cockerels.

The two teams have played 147 times in the league, with City claiming 58 wins to Spurs' 57! A mighty 32 games between the two sides have ended in a draw. As for the goal count… it's 227-200 in City's favour. That's a scoreline that suggests Haaland would be in the lineup!

Spurs' last league game was also against their most hated rivals, log-leaders Arsenal. Spurs keeper Lloris opened the scoring, but unfortunately it was with an own goal. Arsenal added a second before half time and played out a 2-0 win, while Spurs picked up eight yellow cards.

Spurs have also been in head-scratching form, with two wins, two losses and one draw to their credit in the League. Their two wins netted them eight goals, but they have conceded nine in their last five matches, which will be a concern for the visitors… but much appreciated in advance by their hosts tonight.

Last time out they lost 2-1 away to Man United after leading 1-0… cue VAR in the headlines the next day. Controversy aside, it was a lacklustre performance by the Citizens.

Man City's form has been patchy in recent weeks as Haaland's glut of goals has petered out after his sensational start to the season. City have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five league games, scoring just one goal in each match barring the three they put past Leeds.
