FULL-TIME, MAN CITY 2-1 MAN UNITED. What an achievement from City to win the Premier League and now the FA Cup against a tough United side who refused to give up and who gave a superb account of themselves. The final quarter was hair-raising and thrilling high-octane stuff, the only negative being a lack of quality finishing on goal by both sides, but what a contest and what drama, from the fastest-ever FA Cup final goal to an equaliser through a controversial handball… and finally a winner that would have been blown up in ping pong. The tide has changes from the 80s, 90s, and 10s… English football is looking very, very BLUE… and in a week's time we'll see if Europe has also turned Blue! It's been chaotic and dramatic, but hopefully you found it as thrilling as we did. AND THAT'S THE BALL GAME! City have won the Premier League/FA Cup double and the treble is on. What a relief across the entire City squad, as the United players crumble to the ground, distraught after giving a superb account of themselves on this epic day, and day that started with a cracking goal from skipper Gundogan, volleying home from outside the box after 14 seconds, one of the all-time great FA Cup final goals… before later sealing the Cup with a mis-hit off his shin that bounced twice through the United defence and past a diving De Gea. That could only be the work of the sporting gods who want to take City to the tantalising edge of a highly elusive treble.

Haaland chases a ball over the top, shadows it into the corner flag, turns and kicks against a United player for a corner. It's that time of the game now. United half clear, Ake take the throw-in… ref looks at his watch… back header to Ortega… ref raises the whistle to his lips…

+3 minutes: SUBS: a City man is down injured and time will be added for this. It's Walker and he makes his way groggily off the park as Laporte replaces him.

+2 minute: United launch the ball into the City box, it balloons up off Ortega after a good save, is that Ake jumping up at the top corner, it bounces out and United header on goal and Ortega tips it over for a corner. SUCH DRAMA!

SUBS: Ake comes racing on in place of Grealish for the final moments… United push forward and win a free-kick inside their own half, as Rodri goes in for the foul.

Great collect and drive by Gundogan, crossing into the box but United are strong at the front post and clear the danger.

United now with a free-kick inside their half… they pass back to De Gea who clears deep… United buzzing around the City box… the ball goes wide to Casemiro, who works hard to get around a determined Walker, but his cross is too deep and it's out for a goal-kick..
