The Etihad has exploded with CITY, CITY, CITY… and the referee brings the whistle to his lips to signal the end of Real's Champions League season, and the ascendancy of Man City to a second Champions League final in the greatest season in the club's history. And there IS the final whistle!

GOAL, MAN CITY, ALVAREZ! 4-0 (ag.5-1). Foden threads an inch-perfect pass through to Alvarez, who runs on it and slides it past Courtois. You could bring on Harry and Hermoine and you'd still never pull this back for Real.

YELLOW CARD, MAN CITY, GREALISH. Grealish takes a card for culling a Madrid man down the right wing!

FULL-TIME, MAN CITY 4-0 REAL MADRID (agg. 5-1). Just unbelievable. Everything has been said. Madrid were demolished by quite possibly the greatest football side in the world today, and with one of the greatest managers of all time. What was most amazing is that it wasn't a Haaland hat-trick (or even a single goal) that made it happen… week after week City have match-winners and contributors from all around the pitch. Quite astonishing, quite incredible. Real had some moments where they spat venom and Courtois' performance could warrant the Man of the Match award. Drink it in… the winds of change are blowing… the beautiful game is shining brightly… and Real have been beaten 4-0. Blow me down with a feather! Thanks for sharing this historic occasion with us, and enjoy the rest of the sporting week!
