UEFA Champions League Final Stage

FULL-TIME. AC MILAN 1-0 NAPOLI. That certainly wasn't the result we expected after the first 20 minutes here, and full credit to Milan for turning things around and then holding onto their lead so well… although they would no doubt prefer taking a couple more goals with them to Napoli. The visitors put in a good shift, but they will now be ruing their early missed opportunity to go one up. They fought back well and they're still in it as they look forward to a second leg at home… but they'll be without two of their better players and will have their backs against the wall. Ah well, what more could you want from the Champions League. Thanks for sharing the action with us.

YELLOW CARD, AC MILAN, CALABRIA. Calabria earns himself a yellow card for getting in the face of the referee, no doubt arguing the merits of the penalty call.

YELLOW CARDS. Rrahmani (Napoli) and Saelemaekers (AC Milan) are presented with yellow cards following their close-range discussion of the merits of that penalty appeal.

Saelemaekers goes down in the box but the only thing the ref will award is applause for what he views as a dive.

Leão gets to the Napoli box and pulls the trigger, but his shot clears the crossbar with change to spare.

Milan push forward again past the halfway line, but the ball is cleared into the crowd.

Ndombélé drives forward but is brought down, and Napoli have a free-kick… but Milan win the ball back, push forward and have a crack at goal… but it's straight into Meret's breadbasket.

Napoli again press into the box, this time a header clears the bar. Napoli will be hoping fo some generous extra time to be added.
