Six fantasy football questions: Should I bring in Ronaldo? Can West Ham maintain momentum?...

Another week of fixtures, a whole new set of questions. With the international break now separating the next game-week, there’s a lot of thinking to be done...

The latest round of fixtures saw Tottenham top the table as the only team with a perfect record. Even more impressively, Nuno Espirito Santo's side are still yet to concede.

Michail Antonio continued his hot streak with a goal and assist against Crystal Palace but the Hammers failed to bring home all three points after Conor Gallagher's brace.

However, while the West Ham striker raked in the points once more, the week's most popular captain choice, Bruno Fernandes, disappointed his 1.7 million owners after drawing a blank in Manchester United's 1-0 win over Wolves.

With time to plan your next move, Planet Sport answers the six burning questions Fantasy Premier League managers are asking themselves.

Are West Ham genuine top four contenders?

Michail Antonio, West Ham United, Premier League, Leicester City

David Moyes' side have gotten off to a fantastic start, and currently sit second in the table on seven points.

A 4-2 opening win against Newcastle United set the pace, and the Hammers continued their momentum with a 4-1 drubbing of Leicester City.

While Gallagher's brace denied them the three points this weekend, the goals continued to flow at the London Stadium, and Antonio proved once again why he is the man of the moment with a goal and an assist in the 2-2 draw.

It may be only three weeks into the season, but an unbeaten start to their campaign has stood West Ham in good stead. However, is it a temporary purple patch or a genuine sign of intent?

Well, we see no reason not to hop aboard the West Ham hype train at the minute, even after a 2-2 draw with Palace.

With Southampton, Manchester United and Leeds United up next, the following weeks will go some way to answering the questions regarding West Ham's top-four aspirations. But it's so far so good for the Hammers. Morale is high and there is a vibrancy about their attacking play.

At £7.7million, Antonio has proved to be the pick of the season, registering double-point hauls in all three weeks.

He is a fantasy must-have on current form, but team-mates Said Benrahma (£6.4million) and Aaron Cresswell (£5.5million) have also managed impressive points tallies and are worth considering when the league resumes.

Are Everton this season's dark horses?

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Everton, Leeds, Premier League, fantasy football

After Carlo Ancelotti downed his tools and decided to return to Real Madrid, there was a distinct lack of optimism at Goodison Park.

That former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez was was set to replace him only dampened enthusiasm further.

But fast forward to the international break and Everton find themselves in sixth, level on points with United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Following a productive season last time out, Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£8.2million) has replicated his goalscoring at the start of this campaign, and netted from the spot in a 2-0 win over Brighton to take his tally up to three already.

The Sheffield-born striker appeared to pick up a knock towards the end of the game, which also forced him to pull out of the England camp this week. But now able to rest and recover, he should be fit in time for Everton's next fixture.

Speaking of Everton's fixtures, the Toffees face Burnley next, before games against Aston Villa and Norwich complete their September schedule.

With a favourable trio of games, an in-form striker and wind in their sails, Everton's good run of form should last into autumn at least.

Top four seems too big of an ask for a team still adapting to Benitez' style, but top six certainly isn't out of the question.

Toney or not Toney?

Ivan Toney, Brentford, Crystal Palace, Premier League, Fantasy Football

That is the question. And no is the answer. Brentford have impressed in their debut Premier League season, collecting five points from their opening games.

However, despite Toney getting off the mark in their 1-1 draw with Aston Villa, the Bees next play Brighton and Wolves, before an extremely tough few weeks where they face Liverpool, West Ham and Chelsea.

They impressed in their opening-day 2-0 win over Arsenal, but the Gunners' subsequent performances have failed to frank that form. And while draws against Crystal Palace and Villa maintained their unbeaten start, there is a worry those four points dropped will become more significant as their early season momentum wanes.

Additionally, with the likes of Antonio and Calvert-Lewin hitting top form, and Harry Kane coming back into the fold, there are a plethora of attacking options available, meaning Toney doesn't quite make the cut.

At £6.4million, he does offer a cheap differential pick, but if funds are available, then Toney quickly falls down the pecking order.

Don't write Toney off completely, however. Brentford look threatening going forward and he is almost guaranteed a start. But with tough fixtures on the horizon, we suggest you look elsewhere for a striker in the coming weeks.

Should I bring in Ronaldo straight away?

I guess he's probably worth mentioning isn't he? The headlines have inevitably been flooded with Cristiano Ronaldo's shock return to Manchester United.

Twelve years after his departure, the Portuguese forward is returning to Old Trafford to help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side hunt for silverware.

But the question on fantasy player's lips is whether the 36-year-old is worth bringing in.

The move has yet to be made official by Manchester United, leaving fantasy managers guessing at just how much Ronaldo will be valued at - but we can assume it won't be cheap.

We'll be looking at a price of around £12million, so transferring him in will likely mean that one of your big-hitters will have to be sacrificed.

Our recommendation is that anyone with Bruno Fernandes should be seriously considering swapping him out for his compatriot.

The arrival of CR7 could well spell the end of penalty-taking for Fernandes, and after blanking against Wolves this weekend, Ronaldo seems a perfect replacement for those who still want to own a United goal threat.

To add to the temptation, United's next three fixtures see them face Newcastle United, West Ham and Aston Villa - Ronaldo will be licking his lips.

Sell or keep Tsimikas?

Konstantinos Tsimikas, Liverpool, Chelsea, Premier league, Fantasy Football

After Andy Robertson picked up an injury in pre-season that meant he would miss the start of the season, Liverpool's Greek left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas (£4.2million) quickly became hot property.

With a small price tag and a guaranteed starting spot next to the returning Virgil van Dijk, Tsimikas provided clean sheet and attacking potential in the opening weeks.

And to the surprise of many, he delivered in the first two fixtures, managing two clean sheets and registering an assist against Burnley.

But with Robertson returning from injury, has his time in the side run out?

Well if the Chelsea game is anything to go by, yes. Robertson was handed his starting spot back immediately and managed to complete 85 minutes before being replaced by his Greek counterpart.

Despite the Scotsman being partially at fault for Chelsea's opening goal, it seems very likely that he'll retain his spot in the side, meaning Tsimikas will see his playing time hugely limited.

With over 27% of players still owning Tsimikas, our recommendation is to sell up and move on.

Replacing him directly with the £7million-rated Robertson will probably be too pricey for your squad, but with the likes of Davinson Sanchez (£4.5million), Shane Duffy (£4.1million) and Japhet Tanganga (£4.5million) all raking in points, there are plenty of better, similarly priced options.

Have Man City found their best team?

Gabriel Jesus, Manchester City, Premier League, Fantasy Football

If you're scared of transferring in a Manchester City player out of fear of them not starting, don't worry - you're not alone.

Pep Guardiola's squad is so rich in depth that it almost seems impossible to predict his line-up, making City players a huge risk in fantasy football.

But, after the Spaniard named an identical line-up for the first time in over a year this week, maybe things are finally changing at City.

After consecutive 5-0 wins, it goes without saying that City have quickly bounced back from their 1-0 opening defeat to Tottenham and look more like a team that is ready to challenge for the title.

Gabriel Jesus (£8.5million) and Ferran Torres (£7.1million) have stood out and, with City struggling to bring in striking reinforcements, they've become increasingly attractive fantasy options.

After the international break, City visit Leicester City before games against Southampton and Chelsea. While we don't think another 5-0 will be on the cards against the Foxes, they certainly enter as favourites and could score plenty.
