Tuesday’s World Grand Prix tips: Ronnie O’Sullivan can bring Masters-winning form to Leicester

Ronnie O'Sullivan wins the 2024 Masters

Masters champion Ronnie O’Sullivan returns to action just two days on from his Alexandra Palace heroics.

The Rocket bagged a historic eighth Masters title after coming back from 6-3 down to beat Ali Carter 10-7 in London.

O’Sullivan didn’t get much time to enjoy his victory as he travels to Leicester in order to start his World Grand Prix campaign.

The 48-year-old takes on Pang Junxu in his first-round match at the Morningside Arena.

While the 23-year-old Chinese talent has the ability to cause problems, we’re backing O’Sullivan to continue his wave of momentum into the World Grand Prix.

The Rocket offers little value in the outrights, but he is priced at a far more enticing 7/2 to win the match 4-2 in the correct score market.

Carter, who lost the Masters final, also returns to action on Tuesday as he prepares to take on Wu Yize.

The Captain performed brilliantly throughout last week’s event at the Ally Pally, bar the evening session of the final.

Carter will be looking to set the record straight as he looks to back up his run to the Masters final with another impressive showing at the World Grand Prix.

Yize, who is an exciting 20-year-old Chinese talent, won’t make things easy. With that in mind, we’re backing the match to last over five frames at 4/6.
