Alexandra Palace is set to host a blockbuster Masters double this Friday night as Judd Trump and Mark Selby look to shine in their respective quarter-final matches.

Trump, who is the tournament favourite, sealed his spot in the last-eight with a pulsating victory over Kyren Wilson on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old will now take on Ali Carter who dumped out Mark Williams in his first-round contest.

As the defending champion, it’s no surprise Trump is priced as the big favourite for this encounter. The Ace in the Pack is eyeing up his third Masters crown and it would take a mighty Carter effort in order to halt his progress.

Trump bagged one century in his opening round match against Wilson. We’re backing him to double that tally against Carter and bag two at around the 11/4 mark.

Another option, albeit at a lower price, is for Trump’s highest break to cross the 110-point mark. This is currently available at around 8/11.

The evening offering at Ally Pally has the makings of a classic as Selby squares off with Mark Allen.

Selby turned on the style in his first-round clash with Robert Milkins as he powered to a convincing 6-1 victory.

Allen, on the other hand, came back from 3-1 down against John Higgins to eventually beat the Scot 6-5 in a thriller.

The Northern Irish man is the only non-English player left in the tournament, though continuing that run against Selby won’t be easy.

The Jester from Leicester has a strange relationship with the Masters, winning three titles in his first six-years at the event before winning just four matches over the following nine years.

However, Selby looks a rejuvenated figure – one determined to set the record straight on the Ally Pally stage.

Looking at the betting, we’re backing Selby to win the match 6-5 in the correct score market.

If you’re looking for something at a lower price, over nine total frames is available at around 21/20.
