Snooker Q-School News: Aaron Hill says win bigger than beating Ronnie O'Sullivan

Aaron Hill earned himself another two years on Tour after a monumental performance in Q-School

Aaron Hill beat Zhao Jianbo 4-1 in the final round of Q-School to earn himself two years on the World Snooker Tour.
Hill is most famous for his 5-4 win over Ronnie O'Sullivan in the last 64 of the European Masters in 2020 but has achieved precious little since.
He dropped all the way down to 93rd in the world rankings last season after being relegated off the Tour.
Event 2 of Q-School began with 127 players and only four cards available. The four from Event 1 went to Fergal O'Brien, Rod Lawler, Andy Lee and Bai Langing.
The third and final round of Q-School, where the last four cards are available, ends on Thursday.
"To be sitting here after getting through Q School is a much bigger achievement than beating Ronnie," Hill said after beating Jianbo.
"I was thrown in at the deep end on the tour and didn't expect it to be as tough as it was. But I have got a second chance and I am determined to make the most of it."
Hill was virtually faultless throughout Event 2, beating James Lee, Faizaan Mohammed and Kuldesh Johal 4-0 and defeating Gao Yang 4-2 before trouncing Zhao 4-1.
The 18-year-old Zhao will have one last chance to earn a card at Event 3 this week.
Hill's best professional result so far was when he made it to the third round of the Gibraltar Open and Shoot Out and he will be hoping for much better from this stint on tour.
