Ding Junhui into Tour Championship semi-finals in Hull after beating top seed Mark Allen

Chinese snooker star Ding Junhui comfortably beat Mark Allen 10-5 at Hull’s Bonus Arena to advance to the semi-finals of the Tour Championship.
The 35-year-old Chinese recovered from losing the first two frames in the opening session, rattling off six consecutive frames to move into an 8-3 lead.
Allen managed to pull it back to 9-5 but Ding got over the line to gain a measure of revenge, having lost to the Northern Irishman in the UK Championship final in November.
Ding will play the winner of Ali Carter and Kyren Wilson, who face each other on Tuesday, in the last four on Friday.
In the other quarter-finals, Shaun Murphy takes on Robert Milkins on Wednesday and Mark Selby meets Ryan Day on Thursday.
