Alleged betting breach sees five Chinese players suspended

Five Chinese players have been suspended from competing on the World Snooker Tour pending an investigation into a potential breach of betting regulations.

Lu Ning, Li Hang, Zhao Jianbo, Bai Langning and Chang Bingyu will remain suspended until the outcome of the investigation, but the WPBSA confirmed all have the right to appeal against the decision.
The move follows the suspension of Liang Wenbo on October 27 and an ongoing investigation for what the WPBSA described as "manipulating the outcome of matches for betting purposes in breach of the WPBSA Conduct Regulations".
Lu, the current world number 41, is a former UK Championship semi-finalist who reached the final of the Championship League earlier this year. Li, Chang, and Liang are also ranked in the top 100.
