The Super League season is back and Planet Sport is here to give you a five-fold accumulator ahead of Friday’s and Saturday’s fixtures.

The new campaign kicked off with a one-sided Hull derby as Kingston Rovers silenced their neighbours with a 22-0 success.

Five more games will follow over the next two days in what promises to be an action-packed first round.

Below, we run through each match, selecting a tip along the way.

Planet Sport Bet offer: Place a £20+ bet on a Super League match and get £5 in free bets if there are over 50 match points

Leeds Rhinos vs Salford (Fri, 20:00 GMT)

Following a disappointing eighth placed finish last season, Leeds Rhinos will be looking for major improvements in 2024.

Two of their big signings in the off-season came from Salford as Brodie Croft and Andy Ackers moved across the Pennines.

Salford have been beset by financial concerns, though they have recruited astutely. Despite this, Leeds should have enough quality to mark their season opener with a confident win at Headingley.

TIP: Leeds Rhinos -6 Handicap

Leigh Leopards vs Huddersfield Giants (Fri, 20:00 GMT)

Huddersfield slumped to a ninth placed finish last season and many are expecting a similar campaign from the Giants.

Tom Burgess might be joining the team in 2025, but that does little to help the side in 2024.

Leigh, on the other hand, will be determined to prove they are more than just one-season wonders.

The Challenge Cup holders are favourites to win their opening match of the season and we’re backing the Leopards to do just that in front of their home fans.

TIP: Leigh Leopards to win

St Helens vs London Broncos (Fri, 20:00 GMT)

Everyone loves an underdog story, though in all honesty London aren’t expected to get much more than a handful of wins this season.

The Broncos haven’t splashed the cash for their Super League return and they could face a heavy defeat in their first game back.

St Helens are setting their sights on the title and a thumping victory for the hosts is most certainly on the cards.

TIP: St Helens -32 Handicap

Castleford Tigers vs Wigan Warriors (Sat, 17:30 GMT)

Classy Cas will have close to 10,000 fans behind them in their Super League opener.

The rowdy Castleford faithful won’t be enough to stop a rampant Wigan side from setting down a marker.

The Warriors are the defending champions, yet clever off-season recruitment has made them even stronger for 2024.

Backing Wigan to win in West Yorkshire is the way to go.

TIP: Wigan to win both halves

Catalans Dragons vs Warrington Wolves (Sat, 17:30 GMT)

On paper, the most competitive fixture has been left until last.

Catalans Dragons open the season in the south of France with the visit of Warrington Wolves.

The Wolves are a bit of an unknown entity this season with the arrival of new head coach Sam Burgess.

However, the Catalans boast a strong home record and we’re expecting that to continue on Saturday.

TIP: Catalans Dragons to win
