Valtteri Bottas has expressed confidence that he will earn a drive for the 2025 Formula 1 season, and is expected to discover his fate in the next few weeks.

The driver market's movements hinge significantly on the future of Carlos Sainz, who is considering offers from Sauber, set to rebrand as Audi in 2026, and Williams.

Sainz's decision is crucial, affecting the prospects of several drivers, including Sauber's current lineup: Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.

Neither Bottas nor Zhou is expected to remain with Sauber/Audi in 2025, though there remains a slim possibility for Bottas if CEO Andreas Seidl cannot secure Sainz.

Williams, meanwhile, considers Bottas a backup option should Sainz decline their offer. Williams team principal James Vowles has shown considerable interest in Sainz.

"I think I need to make my choice quickly," Bottas stated.

"Nothing has been signed yet from my side, but I'm still working with all the options and need to make a move soon.

"[Audi] is willing to wait for a long time. But I can't forever, so this team is definitely still an option but I don't think I have the time to wait for too long, so that's why I want to speed things up."

Bottas has also been in discussions with Alpine and Haas as potential destinations.

However, with the driver market's pace quickening, Bottas acknowledges the need to secure his future promptly to avoid losing out on available seats.

"I'm confident I'm going to get a seat, but obviously in this sport nothing is confirmed so it's never 100% sure until you are signed," Bottas told Motorsport.com.

"But how I see the situation at the moment I'm not worrying. It should be an interesting week or two ahead for sure."
