Red Bull's Sergio Perez is on the brink of securing his next Formula 1 contract, signalling a potential continuation of his tenure with the team.

The 34-year-old, currently in the final year of his Red Bull deal, has shown promise with three second-place finishes in the opening four races of the season.

Despite facing uncertainties after a challenging 2023 campaign, Perez's resurgence in 2024 has bolstered his confidence in securing a drive for 2025.

Expressing his optimism, Perez stated, "Absolutely 100 per cent, I'm fully committed... I have no doubt that 100 per cent I will be here next year."

Acknowledging the rapidly evolving driver market, Perez emphasized the importance of swift decisions. "Certainly things are moving along earlier than I'd like to... In the coming weeks, I expect to know my future," Perez disclosed to media.

Following a period of uncertainty surrounding his position within the team, Perez's strong performances in the current season have solidified his position within the paddock.

The Mexican driver's determination to continue competing reflects the evolving landscape of Formula 1, where drivers are extending their careers beyond traditional timelines.

As Perez navigates negotiations for his future, the focus shifts to the upcoming F1 Chinese Grand Prix, the fifth race of the 2024 season.

Taking place at the Shanghai International Circuit from April 19 to April 21, the event introduces Sprint weekends, providing drivers with condensed practice sessions and an intensified qualifying format.

Amidst the anticipation of on-track action, Perez's imminent contract announcement adds an extra layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama of the Formula 1 season. With his sights set on further success, Perez's journey exemplifies the resilience and determination required to thrive in the pinnacle of motorsport.
