From racing to laughing: Daniel Ricciardo to produce new F1 comedy

Who else but perpetually giggling Ricciardo would feature in a F1 comedy? A match made in heaven. The Visa Cash App RB F1 Team driver will be a part of the film 'Downforce', a comedy broadcast by Disney-owned Hulu.

"Described as Entourage set in the world of Formula 1 racing, Downforce follows what happens when the heiress to a dynastic racing team is thrust back into the family business and the hard choices she must make about the future of the team and her family’s legacy," writes the Hollywood reporter.

Showrunners Alec Berg and Adam Countee of Silicon Valley fame are leading the project. In the wake of the successful Drive to Survive, it marks the continued effort by F1 owners Liberty Media to tap into a fresh fan base.
