Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has commented on Red Bull's early-season form, stating that it is "nothing new" to see one team dominate in Formula 1.

Red Bull have won the opening two races of the 2023 season with their RB19 car proving to be over a second per lap faster than their closest competitors.
After the Bahrain race, George Russell claimed that Red Bull would win every race in 2023, as both Mercedes and Ferrari struggled to match their pace.
Sainz, who finished sixth in the recent Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, believed that Red Bull's dominance is down to the strength of their car rather than any individual driver.
"I've never been a fan of being concerned with one team dominating because if they've done such a good job, they deserve it," said Sainz after the race. "Unfortunately, this is a sport where the car makes more of a difference than the drivers. We know that if a car is really good, all the other drivers cannot do much to stay in the fight."
Sainz acknowledged that Red Bull have a strong driver line-up, but believed that their success is primarily down to the quality of their car. "It is the nature of Formula 1, and we've seen it in the past. It is nothing new," he added.
The next race in the Formula 1 calendar is the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit in Australia on 2 April.
