Daniel Ricciardo admits RB's F1 updates haven't solved all their problems
Daniel Ricciardo has emphasised that RB still need to work on finding a solution to the car's weaknesses despite the upgrades introduced at the Belgian Grand Prix.
These upgrades were part of RB's strategic efforts to close the gap to the front of the midfield battle.
Ricciardo, who has shown significant improvement in recent races, secured three points finishes in the last six races after a challenging start to the season.
His initial struggles had led to suggestions that he could be replaced by Liam Lawson, who impressed during his previous cameo season.
However, neither this replacement scenario nor speculation that Ricciardo might replace Sergio Perez at RB materialised after the team's summer break review.
The Australian driver finished 11th at Spa before the summer break, which became a points-paying position after Mercedes' George Russell was disqualified for an underweight car.
This result continued RB's streak of scoring in four consecutive races, a positive sign for the team.
Despite these advancements, Ricciardo acknowledged that the car's inherent issues persist and need to be addressed.
"I still feel like our strengths are in a little bit more the lower speed stuff and our weaknesses are a bit more in the real quick stuff," said Ricciardo.
"I think real high speed we still got to work on a bit, but all the kind of tighter, twistier stuff we seem to be alright.
"So yeah, probably same characteristics, just now load is our friend so maybe I'll put on some weight over the break, and that'll help."
