Carlos Sainz: Ferrari decision won't slow down my consistent growth in F1

Carlos Sainz insists Ferrari's decision to part ways with him will not affect his confidence, because he knows his value as a Formula One driver.

Carlos Sainz remains upbeat despite Ferrari's decision to replace him for the 2025 Formula 1 season, expressing confidence that brighter opportunities lie ahead.

Following Lewis Hamilton's surprise move to Ferrari, Sainz finds himself without a seat for the upcoming season.

However, the Spanish driver remains optimistic about his future prospects, affirming his belief that "there will be good things in the future."

Sainz's impressive track record over the past five seasons positions him as a highly sought-after talent in the Formula 1 paddock.

Notably, he outperformed Lando Norris during their tenure at McLaren, showcasing his ability to compete at the highest level. Additionally, Sainz has held his own against his current teammate, Charles Leclerc, further bolstering his credentials.

"From the inside I knew and saw things before all of you, I was prepared," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Knowing that it will be the last year with a team is not the most normal thing to start a new season but as soon as I put on my helmet in Bahrain and get on the track, you can be sure that I will only think about going as fast as possible and if there is the chance to become world champion I will try to take it.

"I want to think only about this season, about doing my best for Ferrari in this championship.

"I am a driver who every year has become stronger and stronger. I have not taken steps backwards but only forwards in my career and I am continuing to grow.

"This year I will turn 30 but I feel younger and more motivated than ever.

"I know what my value is as a driver and I know that There will be good things in the future but this year I want to do my best with Ferrari."

While Sainz's future remains uncertain, speculation abounds regarding potential destinations for the talented driver.

Mercedes, Red Bull, Audi (formerly Sauber), and Williams have all been cited as potential options, although no official announcements have been made thus far.
