With 20 fights inside the UFC and a further 24 outside of the UFC, Green is the definition of a veteran but his recent exploits at the top of the division have put doubt into the idea he could be much more.
With losses to Islam Makhachev and Drew Dober in his last two bouts, both coming by comprehensive finish, questions have been asked if time has run out for Green at the highest level.

Both men enter this bout coming off losses, Green's flirtation with retirement prior to this bout and Gordon's two losses in his last three bouts leave some ambiguity pertaining to their preparation for this bout.
