UFC Fight Night Kansas City tips: Max Holloway and Arnold Allen to go to war in Missouri

UFC Fight Night Kansas City sees two world class featherweights do battle as former champion Max Holloway faces surging contender Arnold “Almighty” Allen.

Holloway is the former UFC featherweight champion and arguably one of the best boxers to ever step foot in the cage. Only the greatness of Alexander Volkanovski has kept him from becoming one of the longest serving champions in UFC history.

Allen has never fought for the title before; a stellar UFC career has been marred by inactivity with the man from Suffolk usually competing once a year.

Despite his inactivity, Allen is undefeated in the UFC and is currently on a ten-fight win streak. His most recent wins came against ranked opponents in Calvin Kattar, Dan Hooker and Sodiq Yusuff.

Both men possess excellent striking but what will be crucial in this bout is how they handle each other's conditioning.
Holloway was born for five round contests, his striking output never wains as the fight goes on and this has led to Holloway becoming the UFC leader in significant strikes, landing 2975 across his tenure with the promotion.

Allen is also very comfortable going for long distances, six of his ten UFC fights have gone to the judges' scorecards.

Holloway's pace is second to none and Allen he will need to dig deep if he is to get a result against the Hawaiian.

Key Stats

There hasn't been a finish in a Max Holloway fight since he beat Brian Ortega at UFC 231 back in 2018.
Arnold Allen has never fought past three rounds in his UFC career.
