UFC Fight Night 227: Full fight card as Valentina Shevchenko looks to avenge Alexa Grasso defeat

Six months on, the 30-year-old will be determined to prove her win was no one-off as she squares off in the octagon against the former champion in the main event of UFC Fight Night 227.

Shevchenko has promised to showcase ‘the most dangerous version’ of herself as she looks to reclaim her flyweight crown.

That loss was her first since the 2017 defeat against Amanda Nunes in their bantamweight championship fight.

Shevchenko went on a nine-fight win streak and looked unstoppable heading into her fight with Grasso.

The Kyrgyzstan native appeared in full control for the first four rounds, though it was Grasso who ultimately stunned the MMA world by making the champ tap via a face crank.

In the co-main event, Kevin Holland will be looking for his third straight win when he takes on Jack Della Maddalena in a promising welterweight bout. 

Before that, fans will be served a bantamweight bout between Raul Rosas Jr. and Terrence Mitchell.
