UFC 287 tips: Rob Font and Adrian Yanez guaranteed to be a slugfest

The UFC’s star-studded bantamweight division has produced another world class fight as Rob Font takes on Adrian Yanez.
Font has been a staple of the bantamweight division since his debut in 2014, racking up wins over Ricky Simon, Marlon Moraes and Cody Garbrandt, whereas Yanez is a more recent edition sporting a 5-0 UFC record with wins over Davey Grant and Tony Kelley.
In a crowded division with a log jam at its summit, both Font and Yanez know that an impressive performance here could skyrocket either man up the rankings, and their fan friendly styles will be something to consider when big fights are made.
Yanez has supremely technical boxing, his aforementioned win over Kelley showed off his ability to strike not only with volume but precision as well, landing multiple sickening combinations that overwhelmed his opponent in the first round.
Font is as tough as they come, training out of New England alongside Calvin Kattar will force you to be like that, but his skills are no joke utilizing defensive grappling against Moraes to overcome early adversity and his powerful shots but the Brazilian away in the opening round.
Although his last two fights saw him lose to Jose Aldo and Marlon "Chito" Vera, Font is still a dangerous opponent for anyone in the bantamweight division and one that Yanez will have to be on top form to beat.
