PFL MENA weigh-in results: Main event change as Abdullah Al-Qahtani prepares to face new challenger

The Professional Fighters League kicks off the inaugural season of PFL MENA as bantamweight and featherweight fighters from the Middle East and North Africa regions prepare to go head-to-head.

In the main event, Saudi Arabia’s own Abdullah Al-Qahtani now meets Jordan’s Yazeed Hasanain as Taha Bendaoud did not make the contracted weight. Al-Qahtani weighed in at 145.6-pounds, while Hasanain weighed in at 146.6-pounds.

In the co-main event, Iraq’s Ali Taleb meets Jordan’s Nawras Abzakh in a bantamweight contest. Taleb weighed in at 133.4-pounds, while Abzakh weighed in at 135.4-pounds.

Maraoune Bellagouit weighed in at 145.8-pounds and now faces Mido Mohammed who weighed in at 145.2-pounds. Bellagouit’s original opponent Motaz Askar was not medically cleared by the commission to compete.

Also Hattan Alsaif, the first female from Saudi Arabia to sign with a major MMA promotion, makes her highly-anticipated PFL SmartCage debut against Egypt’s Nada Faheem. Alsaif weighed in at 104-pounds, while Faheem weighed in at 105.8-pounds.
