Oktagon MMA 52: Full card as Jonas Magard takes on Jack Cartwright in bantamweight showdown

Former bantamweight champion, Magard (15-6), finally clashes with dangerous finisher, Jack Cartwright (11-1), after months of heated trash talk.

The talented pair have both been on each other’s radar after training in the Manchester area and having a number of mutual training partners. However, their paths have never crossed until now when they collide in ‘The Toon’.

Following a successful promotional debut for Cartwright back in Manchester, Mågård entered the cage and both started trading words immediately.

Since then, fans and media alike have debated how a fight would go and the wait is almost over to see who the better man will be.

In the co-main event, #3 ranked surging middleweight, Matej Penaz (8-1), travels to Newcastle to take on UK MMA veteran, Matthew Bonner (16-9-1), in an important matchup for the division.

‘Money’ is undefeated in Oktagon MMA and has been absolutely devastating with his stand up arsenal, finishing seven opponents by knockout with all but one coming in the very first round.

However, former Cage Warriors champion, Bonner, will be Penaz’s toughest test to date and wants to prove that his best days are still ahead of him. The stakes are high in this prospect vs. veteran battle.
