OKTAGON 58: Full card and where to watch Karlos Vemola vs Attila Vegh rematch of the century

OKTAGON 58 takes place this Saturday night at the home of Slavia Prague – Eden Stadium, Czechia.

A capacity crowd of 28,000 fans will fill the venue for an absolutely stacked card featuring the best stars in the promotion.

‘The Rematch of the Century’ is a headliner fitting of such a monumental occasion and sees two of the region’s biggest sporting icons collide once again.

OKTAGON MMA light heavyweight champion, Karlos Vemola (36-8), defends his belt against former Bellator king, Attila Vegh (33-9-2), in a huge showdown.

The Czech superstar, also known as ‘The Terminator’, and the Slovak hero have a storied history that will come to a head in Prague.

In 2019, the pair set a new attendance record of 20,000 for the territory inside O2 Arena and all of the Czech Republic & Slovakia stood still.

Vegh knocked out his adversary with a huge right hand just over two minutes into their contest and he hasn’t competed since.

Vemola has wanted an opportunity to redeem himself for the past five years and now eleven bouts later, seeks revenge in what could be the final fight of his legendary career.

Former welterweight champion, David Kozma (32-13), returns during the co-main event to take on heavy hitter, Ion Surdu (14-6), in a clash between two of the company’s most charismatic personalities.

‘Pink Panther’ has spent ten months away from competition honing his skills in order to try and reclaim the throne at the very top of the division.

However, ‘Dracula’ will stand in his way and is intent on utilising his devastating striking to earn the biggest victory of his career.

After months of back and forth trash talk, Shem Rock (10-1-1) and Jaroslav Pokorny (16-11) will finally settle their bitter, personal feud at lightweight in the biggest grudge match that OKTAGON MMA has ever seen.

Both men come from polar opposite worlds and have been slated to fight several times but the bout never came to fruition on each occasion.

This Saturday night in Eden Stadium, the Czech police officer will have 28,000 fans on his side when he throws down with the man who has on the run from the authorities for ten years for a crime he didn’t commit. The saga ends at OKTAGON 58.

The quarter finals in the €1 million Tipsport Gamechanger lightweight tournament begin at this landmark event and features an England vs. Poland battle.

Leon Edwards’ training partner, Akonne Wanliss (8-2, 1NC), wants to follow up his explosive 48 second knockout of Siraj with another highlight reel finish against Mateusz Legierski (11-1), who is undefeated in OKTAGON MMA.

Elsewhere on the loaded card, UFC and PFL veteran, David Zawada (19-9), meets knockout artist, Marek Mazuch (8-2), at middleweight and Spain’s Acoidan Duque (20-4, 1NC) faces rising prospect, Mago Machaev (14-1, 1NC), in a Tipsport Gamechanger quarter final bout.

‘Mr Finland’, Makwan Amirkhani (17-10), competes against all-action, Attila Korkmaz (14-8), in a European MMA Champions League reserve bout.

OKTAGON 58 will be broadcast live on OKTAGON.TV internationally as well as worldwide on the global platform, DAZN, in all markets except from CZ/SK. Fans in France can also tune in on RMC Sport. The action begins at 5pm BST/6pm CEST/12pm ET/9am CT.
