KSW 87 fight card: Darko Stosic out to ruin Czech homecoming for Michal Martinek

KSW 87 emanates from the Czech Republic this Saturday night as heavyweight Michael Martinek fights on home soil for the first time in four years.

The 33-year-old, who returns to action for the first time in 12 months, will square off against Serbia’s Darko Stosic in the main event.

Martinek will be looking for a return to winning ways after losing a split decision to Daniel Omielanczuk in October 2022.

Blackbeard’s last fight in the Czech Republic didn’t last long as opponent Viktor Pesta suffered a first-round injury.

Stosic, on the other hand, will be looking to position himself for another shot at heavyweight champion Phil De Fries.

The former UFC contender fell short in his title bid against the Brit back in February 2022 – a bout which ended in a fifth-round retirement.

Since then, the 31-year-old has picked up victories over Michal Kita and Stefan Vojcak, while also suffering a loss to Shamil Gaziev at BRAVE CF 69.
