Kylian Mbappe was ‘the biggest superstar to attend MMA show’ argues PFL Europe champion
PFL Europe champion Dakota Ditcheva opened up on trying to get a photo with soccer superstar Kylian Mbappe during last September’s PFL Paris card.
Some of the biggest names from the world of Hollywood, politics and music have turned out to MMA shows over the years.
Former United States President Donald Trump, for instance, is a regular at UFC events and has a close relationship with the organisation’s chief, Dana White.
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is another huge name who follows the sport and attends shows.
Last September, PFL’s inaugural European tournament went over to Paris in what proved to be one of the most entertaining events on the continent in 2023.
The main event saw Cedric Doumbe spectacularly knockout Jordan Zebo after just nine seconds of the first round.
Clip of the knockout went viral as well as the reaction of PSG and France footballer Kylian Mbappe who watched on from the front row.
Mbappe, who is arguably one of the biggest names in soccer, arrived for the show despite playing for his club earlier that day.
Dakota Ditcheva, who fought on the card, told Planet Sport: “I didn’t know he was there until afterwards. I actually asked for a photo afterwards but the security guards won’t let you anywhere near him. I tried to have my little fan girl moment.
“Since the event going viral, that he was there, I think people have been saying he’s the biggest superstar to ever attend an MMA show like that. For the PFL to have pulled that off is absolutely amazing.”
