Cage Warriors confirm Newcastle show is a sell out ahead of championship double-header
Fans watching Cage Warriors 164 this weekend will be treated to not just one, but two title fights emanating from Newcastle.
The Vertu Motors Arena will play host to the latest Cage Warriors event which is expected to deliver plenty of action on Saturday night.
Liam Gittins and Reece McEwan headline the bill as they battle for the vacant Cage Warriors Bantamweight Championship.
The second title bout sees Mick Stanton defend his middleweight crown against Italy’s Dario Bellandi.
As well as the two title fights, a capacity crowd in Newcastle will also be treated to nine other contests on the card.
Perry Goodwin, for instance, returns to action for the first time since March 2022 when he takes on Scotland’s ‘Bad Guy’ Chris Bungard.
Light-heavyweight Darren Stewart, on the other hand, will be looking to bag his fourth straight Cage Warriors victory when he squares off with Serbia’s Antonio Zovak.
The preliminary card begins at 5pm GMT while the main card is expected to get underway at 9pm GMT. Fans can watch the action unfold via UFC Fight Pass.
