Sandown each-way racing tip: Coolvalla looks rock solid for a frame finish

The last big handicap chase of the season sees Kitty’s Light unpenalised after winning the Scottish Grand National, but each-way specialist Richard Hutchinson has identified better value elsewhere.

The main negative about his chances is the seven-day gap since his Ayr triumph, which might not be enough time to properly recuperate from such a gruelling race and at such firm odds he looks worth taking on.
The one I like is the highly progressive Coolvalla, who has been a revelation since going chasing and has won five of his six outings.
The only exception was excusable as he stepped up to Grade 2 company at the Cheltenham Festival and was outclassed and pulled up.
He reverted to handicap company last time and bounced back with a likeable performance off 130 to outstay Revel's Hill by one length at Exeter.

The pair do battle again with Revels Hill only two pounds better off and with the ground slightly soft today that is in Coolvalla's favour.

Suggested bet: Coolvalla each-way in the 14:15 at Sandown

Each way is certainly the interesting angle in a race that has seen a small amount of finishers in recent years, and with the ground more testing this year it appears likely that trend will continue.
At any double-digit price Coolvalla looks a rock solid each-way play, especially with the six places on offer by most bookmakers.
