Punchestown racing tips: Mares’ Champion Hurdle - Love Envoi the one to beat

This should be a mares’ hurdle to savour, and it’s certainly one that has seen Tipstrr’s team of pundits lean strongly towards the well-fancied favourite.

15:50 Coolmore NH Sires Mogul Irish EBF Mares Champion Hurdle

Last year's winner was Marie's Rock, who had already landed the British version at Cheltenham, with other high-profile hurdlers Epatante and Shewearsitwell in her wake.

Marie's Rock is absent this year, but the other two are back for another crack, although to succeed, they will have to finish ahead of firm favourite Love Envoi.
Harry Fry's seven-year-old has beaten all but two of a combined 102 rivals across her ten-race career, which has seen eight wins and just two defeats, the first of which came on her last trip to Ireland this time last year.
Her other runner-up spot came behind popular winner Honeysuckle in the corresponding event at the Cheltenham Festival in March, so clearly there was no disgrace losing there.

More significantly she finished ahead of five horses that re-oppose her here (Anna Bunina being the only exceptions, and although a few of them have performed better since, she clearly has the measure of this field if Danny Mullins can steer her clear of trouble.

Suggested bet: Love Envoi in the 15:50 at Punchestown
