Punchestown Handicap Hurdle tips - Ballyadam primed to build on Cheltenham promise

The last jumps race of this year’s Punchestown Festival offers a wide open handicap that looks tailor made for Tipstrr’s team of racing pundits to point us in the direction of the best betting value.

Seddon looks likely to go off as a short-priced favourite after completing a hat-trick of victories by beating 22 rivals to land the Magners Plate Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.

Tax For Max also looks a very interesting prospect, not least because this will be his second outing at this meeting after finishing second in another handicap hurdle here on Tuesday.

However, the horse gaining the most support within the Tipstrr community is Henry de Bromhead's eight-year-old gelding Ballyadam.

Although winless in 12 outings since 2020, he showed a glimpse of his capabilities when finishing a very creditable fifth of 24 in the County Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in similar condition to today.

Ballyadam doesn't have Rachael Blackmore on board this time, but the five-pound allowance of his claimer could well prove decisive, and with six places up for grabs with some bookies he looks a decent each-way shout.

Suggested each-way bet: Ballyadam in the 17:30 at Punchestown
