Most popular Cheltenham Festival tips from Tipstrr - day two

Tipstrr's selections provided four of yesterday's winners with El Fabiolo, Constitution Hill, Honeysuckle and Gaillard Du Mesnil all landing some tasty profit. Can day two's tips match that success?

Ladies Day at Cheltenham offers another four Grade 1 races and a couple of competitive handicaps either side of the showpiece event that is the Queen Mother Champion Chase.
The strongly-fancied Edwardstone and Energumene go head-to-head in what promises to be a thrilling race, even more so if Editeur Du Gite gets into the mix.
That will be followed by the popular Cross Country Chase, in which favourite Delta Work will hope to be a more popular winner than when ruining last year's fond farewell for three-time victor and dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll.

1.30 Ballymore Novices' Hurdle

Impaire Et Passe has already created a buzz in National Hunt circles and after winning impressively on his two hurdle outings at Naas and Punchestown, the Ballymore should offer a good measure of this Mullins-trained star in the making.

A couple of below-par outings put a dent in American Mike's early promise, but this return to his preferred trip might well be enough to see him outrun his outsider odds to make the frame.

Top tip: Impaire Et Passe

Each-way popular punt: American Mike

2.10 Brown Advisory Novices' Chase

Already a dual Festival winner Sir Gerhard clearly loves Prestbury Park, and it would not surprise many to see him add the Brown Advisory Chase to the Champion Bumper and the Ballymore Hurdle that he landed in 2021 and 2022 respectively.

Nine-year-old Thyme Hill is a proven campaigner who bounced back from a disappointing outing at Newbury to land the Grade 1 Kauto Star at Kempton over Christmas, and he has been kept fresh since with this race in mind.

Top tip: Sir Gerhard

Each-way popular punt: Thyme Hill

2.50 Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle

Any horse with Davy Russell on board has his winning chances enhanced by default, and after landing a hat-trick of wins against lesser company this year Sa Fureur should relish the step up in both standard and stamina.

Three runner-up spots and two wins culminated in Benson's eye-catching win at Kelso 11 days ago, and as long as he is fully recovered then he could well be in contention once again coming up the hill.

Top tip: Sa Fureur

Each-way popular punt: Benson

3.30 Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase

Willie Mullins and Paul Townend team up again with Energumene to defend their Champion Chase crown. He clearly has the credentials to do so, despite being set back slightly by suffering his second career defeat in the Clarence House last time out in January.

With just seven runners, this is probably a race left well alone from an each-way perspective, but if any outsider were to gatecrash the top three in the market, then Greaneteen certainly has the pedigree to do so on his day.

Top tip: Energumene

Each-way popular punt: Greaneteen

4.10 Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase

Back On The Lash doesn't win every race, but he is always willing to give us a good run our our money. His win over this course and distance in late January suggests he is in prime shape and this competitive race should bring out his best.

A winner over the Grand National fences in the Becher Chase and runner-up at Haydock last time out, Snow Leopardess is more than capable of a strong clear round and could well be in the mix running up the home straight.

Top tip: Back On The Lash

Each-way popular punt: Snow Leopardess

4.50 Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Handicap Chase

Global Citizen memorably won this renewal in 2022, and although his subsequent form has been patchy, he is only carrying three pounds more than a year ago, and could well be lined up to enjoy himself again.

A previous course and distance success means that Third Time Lucki will have no problem negotiating the Cheltenham obstacles, and having won at Sandown last time out, he also has the recent form to feature again here.

Top tip: Global Citizen

Each-way popular punt: Third Time Lucki

5.30 Weatherbys Champions Bumper

Fun Fun Fun has lived up to her name so far, winning each of her two outings by more than nine lengths. Bigger prizes over obstacles inevitably lie ahead for this exciting mare, and the Champion Bumper could provide the perfect springboard.

Two bumper wins around this track bode well for further success for Queens Gamble here, and a runner-up spot at Market Rasen last month gives plenty of cause for each-way optimism here.

Top tip: Fun Fun Fun

Each-way popular punt: Queens Gamble
